What's it all about?

This degree programme is unique, because ...

it offers the opportunity of looking into current geographic and geoscience phenomena and processes on a technical and a didactic level, e.g. into globalisation, climate change, natural hazards, as well as demographic development, migration, disparities, resource conflicts.

In order to comply with the standard period of study, it is strongly recommended to start the M.Ed. in the winter semester

It provides the opportunity to specialise in the following fields
  • Physical Geography
  • Human Geography
  • Geomatics
  • Didactics of Geography

Those who wish to enrol in this degree programme,

  • theories of the didactics of geography, in order to become a competent geography teacher
